The WATER Institute strives to promote a holistic and multidisciplinary understanding of the importance of healthy watersheds. It was established in response to the current crisis confronting hydrological and thus biological diversity, in this era of diminishing water resources, threats to biodiversity, and ever-expanding human impacts.  The WATER Institute is comprised of four interrelated components — Watershed Advocacy and Policy Development; Training and Support; Education and Demonstration; Research.
